BGP donates 500 Euro to primary school
BGP donated 500 Euro to a primary school in Karlsruhe during the 2015 “Clean the Streets Weeks” campaign.
The school's pupils joined the clean-up activities, adding their energetic support and collecting masses of rubbish. Not only did they help to make the neighbourhood more attractive for everybody who lives here, they also helped to make the area better for wildlife and plants. Karlsruhe's Department of Waste Management ran its ninth annual “Clean the Streets Weeks” event, which took place this year from 16 March to 8 May. More than 9,000 volunteer helpers made sure that this was yet another record-breaking year
The aim of the event, as in previous years, was to free Karlsruhe's streets, gardens and paths of thoughtlessly thrown away rubbish. The Department of Waste Management provided all of the equipment needed for the clean-up. They also awarded prizes for residents, clubs, local businesses and schools who supported the city's spring cleaning. BGP, with its donation to a local primary school, helped to make sure that the main message of the two-week event reached the city's youngest generation.
